President Blaník - DVD

Antonín Blaník is one of the country's most prominent lobbyists. He works for political parties, for the president himself, and most importantly, for himself. One day, he decides it's time to step out from behind the political curtain and announces his candidacy for President of the Czech Republic.
His campaign, in which he promises people what no one else can deliver with the help of his secretary Žížala and his assistant Lenka, is a success. However, Tonda's candidacy ends before it even begins, as Žížala fails to deliver the signature sheets to the ministry on time. But this wouldn't be Tonda Blaník if he couldn't handle such a minor 'inconvenience'. After all, there are plenty of other candidates, and no one can see inside Tonda's head...

The story of the film, which follows on from the successful series, is set against the backdrop of the real events of the second direct presidential election in the Czech Republic. It features a whole host of real figures from Czech political and social life.
