Prince: The Gold Experience

LP Record The Gold Experience was the first album Prince released under his unpronounceable pseudonym, "The Love Symbol". The LP was released at the height of the artist's battle against the music industry. Prince wrote the word "Slave" on his face and, in this guise, performed the opulent ballads "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" and "Gold", as well as the provocative single "Eye Hate U", receiving critical acclaim for the album.
