Problematic situations in care for the elderly

The publication is intended for all health and social workers who care for the elderly in hospitals and other residential care facilities as well as in home care. It focuses on the prevention of problematic situations in elderly care, offers prevention options, coping with challenging situations and evaluation of incidents as an option for preventive action. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the authors, who have extensive experience with patients with behavioural problems, offer practical examples of how to deal with individual situations. The publication will enable staff to improve care for the elderly, identify areas of concern early and act on them. The incidence of conflicts and assaults on staff or other persons by patients will be reduced.
