Professor Morus
Ilya Hurnik's play, which as always refers to music as one of its main themes, is full of humour. Although it is rather nostalgic in its tuning. It refers to the author's personal memory, but the main character is Kamila, an elderly woman who is recapitulating her life. From the perspective of her almost closed fate, an incident from her early childhood suddenly takes on a strange significance. A memory of a small town, one big storm and meeting a poor boy from the neighbourhood who gave her piano lessons so that she could take up music herself. Strange thing, this human memory of ours.
