Prometheus in flames

Audiobook Prometheus in flames, by Frank M. Robinson and Thomas N. Scortia, translated by Martin Hilský and Kateřina Hilská. Read by Ondřej Dvořáček, directed by Sabina Rytířová. Prometheus in Flames tells the dramatic story of the meltdown of a giant nuclear power plant in Northern California. The plant is to be commissioned as soon as possible because the US power grid is overloaded and the timely start of operations is also a sign of the successful implementation of the government's programme. The builders and the director of the plant point in vain to the imperfectly tested operation. Personal and political interests clash with a sense of responsibility, as the involvement of reactors can lead to a nuclear explosion. Reporters and government officials gather for the opening ceremony and witness the drama of individuals and the entire construction site, the struggle of people trying in vain to prevent disaster.
