Purple Mountain - Blu-ray

For her time, Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) is a very emancipated young woman with literary talent and a nasty childhood trauma, which she deals with through her writing. The mysterious stranger, Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston), likes her writing, and she, in turn, takes a liking to him. So much so that, after her father's tragic death, she soon casts aside her grief and marries him. The marriage makes her the co-owner of the Crimson Peak estate, which is dominated by a majestic yet dilapidated Victorian house where rain, snow, and leaves fall through the holey roof into the entrance hall.
Edith certainly does not feel at home within its gloomy walls. Moreover, she soon begins to discover that her husband is not who he seemed to be. His mysterious and not always pleasant past begins to surface.
