Quanti Minoris: Drinking Manners (or when the pub is having fun) - CD

The melodic line, with its strong mediaeval element using replicas of historical instruments, is filtered through a rock foundation. To enhance the authentic atmosphere, compositions or parts of compositions by masters of the period are used. The result is a musical style that is admittedly difficult to categorise, but all the more interesting for its tonal (gemshorn, crumhorn, recorders, bladder pipe, chalumeaux, transverse flute, lute) and rhythmic colour. In terms of genre, the music of Quanti Minoris can be classified as historical folk-rock with Celtic roots. The CD's title, Pijácké mravy (Drinking Habits), evokes the pub environment of the Middle Ages, and the poetics of the mediaeval lyrics on the album are related.
