Retribution - DVD

Revenge is a dish best served by two-time Academy Award(R)* winner Mel Gibson, who stars as the tough-as-nails Porter. PAYBACK is a fast-paced, witty blend of action and film noir. Directed by Brian Helgeland, the Oscar-winning writer of L.A. Confidential, who also co-wrote this adaptation of Donald E. Westlake's novel – previously the source material for the Jon Boorman/Lee Marvin classic, POINT BLANK. When his own partners double-cross him, steal his $70,000 share, and leave him for dead, there's only one way to settle the score: Porter's way. His vendetta puts a whole host of villains in the firing line. Crooked cops. Street gangs. Spineless crooks. Underworld bosses. Anyone standing between Porter and his seventy grand will soon find out that he's back, and he's out for blood.
