Revived graves

Reanimated Graves is one of Karel Sabina' s most important works. It is partly an autobiographical novel, in which the author also describes his experiences in the Olomouc prison, where he was sentenced to eighteen years for anti-Austrian resistance.
The book describes the fates of several political prisoners of various nationalities who spend their time behind bars thinking about escape, telling each other various life stories, and analyzing the social situation.
