Rottrová, Marie: Zlatá kolekce (3x CD) - CD

The most famous, successful and interesting songs in the most complete collection!
The Gold Collection brings together seventy songs from all periods of the singer's career, from her beginnings in Ostrava to the present day.

Marie was lucky to have a friendly circle of Czech composers (J. Wykrent, J. Urbánek, V. Figar or B. Ondráček) and lyricists (J. Fikejzová, V. Čort, J. Wykrent, J. Nohavica, P. Vrba, P. Kopta and V. Poštulka). But her choice of cover songs, always given a beneficial and unique twist, is also exceptional. Her repertoire thus feels cohesive, united by her professionalism and distinctive personality.

Marie Rottrová herself chose this selection of songs, capturing her vocal development not in strict chronological order, but in a way that is easy for the listener to follow. The initial Czech versions of foreign songs (Baby, vítej k nám, Volej známý číslo, Pane můj, Tisíc tváří lásky, Mít pouhej tejden, Kůň bílý, and others) are logically followed by major Czech hits (Svatba U dvou lilií, Zatracenej čáp, Ty, kdo jdeš kolem, Řeka lásky, Střapatá, nohatá, Osud mi tě přál, Lásko. and Ten vůz už jel). The collection also includes a more recent set of covers (To mám tak ráda, Ať soused shůry bouchá, Bouda Na hororu, Dívka, která spí jen tak, S tím bláznem si nic nezačínej, Muž č. 1, Štěstí and Lásko, voníš deštěm), with the song Žaluzie bringing the selection right up to the present.
