Salamandra: Opus Bohemica - LP

The last album "Opus Bohemica" (2022) presents the Ostrava band strongly rejuvenated, because only the keyboardist Hanka Šlachtová remained in the sextet besides Slíva. The music is supported by a symphonic sound that constantly comes to the fore without distraction. But a melodic band is defined by the voice. The latter now belongs to Tomas Hradil (ex-Trezor) and his strength is that he knows his capabilities, so he keeps him exactly within the boundaries to pull the band up with his unwanted tones with occasional support from the choir. The album is finally released on black vinyl.

SALAMANDRA was one of the first bands that started to play classic power/heavy/speed in our country. Moravak's music is thoughtful, catchy, and if someone finds the speed metal genre boring, this band will lead you astray with its careful arrangements and varied song structure with many small embellishments and digressions. The band, which has embarked on several conceptual works during its existence, was formed in 1998 and has been driven by founding member Pavel Sliva. He has already released seven albums and regularly participates in the biggest domestic festivals dedicated to hard & heavy genres (Masters of Rock, Metalfest, Basinfirefest, etc. ) or as a support act alongside the world's most famous bands, e.g. Iron Maiden.
