Chronicle of two Brno families
Against the backdrop of dramatic historical events, this book, accompanied by several unique photographs, develops the fate of two important Brno families - the Czech-German Ux family, founders of the Ux Brothers Foundry in Plotná, and the Czech Tachovsky family, the former owners of the largest Brno drugstore in the Czech Republic. The descendant of these two families, the daughter of the Brno poet Karel Tachovský, authentically describes the life of her relatives from the times of the monarchy through the two world wars and the communist regime to the present day.
