Scorpions: Blackout (CD + LP) - LP + CD

Singer Klaus Meine lost his voice while composing material for the album and had to undergo vocal cord surgery.

It was uncertain whether he would be able to sing the album, so the demos were taken with singer Don Dokken, but none of them appeared on the album.

Rudolf Schenker could not choose between his solos in the song “China White“, so the American and European editions differ in this detail.

The cover of the album shows a self-portrait of the photographer Gottfried Helnwein.
