Shaw Caroline, Attacca Quartet: Caroline Shaw: Evergreen - CD

After three years, American composer, violinist and singer Caroline Shaw has her next studio album on the Nonesuch label. For her previous recording "Orange", this versatile artist and Pulitzer Prize winner also won her first Grammy in the chamber music category. Her collaboration with the Attaca Quartet was extremely successful for all involved, so it is no wonder that they are meeting again as part of a new project called "Evergreen". This time it is five original compositions, three of which are instrumental pieces for string quartet, and the remaining two are songs with quartet accompaniment. The vocal part was performed by the author herself.
