Sigur Rós: ( )

LP Record The third album by Sigur Rós, and for many the quintessential Sigur Rós album, celebrates its twentieth anniversary on 28th October 2022. The album has been remastered by legendary mastering engineer Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, who has also mastered every Sigur Rós album since "Takk…". "( )" is the only album where Jónsi sings entirely in the wordless language of Hopelandic. This effort to strip the music of meaning and allow the listener to interpret it in their own way extends to each of the album's eight songs, all of which are untitled. The album is broadly divided into two halves, separated by a critical 36 seconds of silence.
