Sigur Ros: Odin' s Raven Magic - CD

Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, who incorporate various experimental techniques and minimalist elements into their music.

Although, in most cases, this is not classical music in the true sense of the word, in today's world of fusions, crossovers, and the general blurring of boundaries between different genres and types of music, Sigur Rós are certainly closer to classical than many a singer who pretends to be 'classical' but is, in fact, pop. Even their instrumental 'arsenal', which they have used at various stages of their work, is impressive: synthesiser, piano, electronic organ, guitar, flute, whistle, oboe, banjo, drums, bowed guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, glockenspiel.
