Sils Maria - DVD

The charming and ever-attractive forty-something Maria Enders is at the peak of her acting career, which began twenty years ago when she played the provocative and unforgettable character of Sigrid in an acclaimed lesbian drama.
She has just accepted an offer to star in a contemporary remake of this famous film, but this time she is to take on the role of the older Helena, whom Sigrid seduces and drives to suicide. Maria and her assistant travel to Sils Maria, a remote region in the Swiss Alps, to prepare for her demanding role without interruption.
Meanwhile, the role of Sigrid has been given to a flippant young Hollywood starlet who revels in alcohol-fuelled scandals. Unlike in the original film, Maria now finds herself on the other side of the mirror, face to face with a charming girl who is essentially a disturbing reflection of herself.
