Slade: Sladest (Mediabook) - CD

A reissue of the band's greatest hits compilation album, originally released in September 1973, which stayed at the top of the UK charts for three weeks before returning in January 1974 after the release of the single "Merry X-mas Everybody".

Slade are undoubtedly one of the most distinctive British rock bands. They scored their first chart success in May 1971 with "Get Down And Get With It" and from that moment on throughout the seventies they set not only musical but also fashion trends. Ensembles as diverse as Nirvana acknowledge Slade's influence on their work, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Def Leppard, The Ramones, Kiss. And as Noel Gallagher said, "No Slade = No Oasis".
