Slayer: Christ Illusion / Edition 2013 - CD

Christ Illusion is the ninth studio album of the American thrash metal band Slayer, released on September 8, 2006, under the music label American Records.

It contains 11 songs, which are nicely elaborated, and the musicians have thus refuted the assumption that they had already burned down in composition. The fourth song on this album, whose name is translated into Czech as the illusion of Christ, Eyes of the Insane, won a Grammy Award in category The best metal performance, for 2006. Also worth mentioning is the opening track Flesh Storm, where we can hear a nice guitar riff (as everywhere else on the album) and then the song Cult, which is the second single. It is here that the well-known devil' s number 666 is uttered several times, which somehow accompanies the entire album.

The cover of the album is also interesting. He is painted with a stick figure with a crown of thorns, he has Jesus of Nazareth drawn on his stomach, his hands are cut off and pieces of human bodies are rolling next to him, and in the background the village and its church are burning on the hill. By the way, all the lyrics (or at least the vast majority) on the album are strongly anti-Christian. At the top of the cover (respectively at the bottom) boasts the well-known frame / Parental Advisory Explicit Content /.
