Smiths: Queen Is Dead (2012 Edition) - LP

The Smiths were an English rock band active from 1982–1987. The core of the group consisted of lyricist Steven Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr, alongside bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce.

During their brief career, they released 7 albums and nearly 20 singles. Critics acclaimed them as one of the most prominent and influential bands of the 1980s.

All members of The Smiths continued their musical careers after the split – most notably Morrissey, who embarked on a successful solo career.

Guitarist Johnny Marr currently plays in the band Modest Mouse, while Andy Rourke performs alongside Peter Hook (who left New Order in 2007) in the band Freebass. Mike Joyce plays drums for Vinny Peculiar.
