Snippets of time
An imaginative young adult novel where wizards and time travel are an integral part of a dark Ostrava
Jana could be an ordinary secondary school student, if it weren't for her ability to travel through time. In a difficult family situation, Jana has to fend for herself, so she earns extra money by selling antiques brought from the past. On her travels, she recklessly breaks the fabric of time more than once, attracting the attention of beings guarding the temporal continuum. One such trip almost costs her her life.
She is saved by a police investigator, who later even offers her a job in a special department. Jana must integrate into a team of strangers and learn to properly control her ability. She soon learns that there are others who are much more gifted than her – wizards. They have subjugated the city and are secretly waging wars among themselves. Jana gets entangled in a dangerous game—one who can change the course of things is a valuable ally and a powerful enemy at the same time. Everything gets even more complicated when a wizard saves her life. The trouble isn't just that he is the right-hand man of her arch-enemy. It turns out that Petr knows Jana well, while she has never seen him before. Although, in time, anything can happen…
