A famous novel about the history of philosophy
In his book Sophie's World, Norwegian teacher Jostein Gaarder has brought together seemingly unattractive themes: The history of philosophy and the coming-of-age story of a fifteen-year-old girl. The novel, which was published in 1991, has been an incredible success; It was published in dozens of countries immediately after its Norwegian publication and became the best-selling book in the world in 1995.
