Special kinesiology
Kinesiology is a typically interdisciplinary field, which is now gradually being profiled as an independent discipline. The development of rehabilitation and its teaching has forced the inclusion of the teaching subject of kinesiology in various study disciplines.
The aim of special kinesiology is to give an interpretation of the movement activities of body segments - the dynamics of their development, and to describe prototypical postural and prototypical manipulative movement activities.
Special kinesiology is the basis for the study of special disciplines of rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, orthopaedics and other medical disciplines dealing with the movement of the human body.
This is the first time we have encountered a similar treatment of the topic in our literature. The publication is a continuation of GENERAL KINESIOLOGY, by the same author. It is intended not only for students of rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy at specialized vocational and higher education institutions, including medical, pedagogical, and physical education faculties, but also for physicians and professionals in these fields.
The didactically well-conceived textbook is supplemented with 196 original colour illustrations.
General and special kinesiology prof. Dylevský's book is the first monographic and educational text in our (Czech) professional literature. They represent the theoretical basis of rehabilitation medicine and physiotherapy. They are the first textbook on the subject of kinesiology, which has a centuries-old tradition in the Anglo-American region. It is the science of movement. The evolutionary concept of general and special kinesiology is original, there is no similar text in the world literature.
