Stockholm - DVD

The film depicts the real events of 1973, when the central bank in Stockholm was robbed under absurd circumstances. Lars Nyström (Ethan Hawke) plans to use the hostages to free his partner Gunnar (Mark Strong) from prison.

However, negotiations with the police and even the prime minister himself reach a stalemate, and the hours of waiting stretch into days. Lars alternates between threatening the hostages and caringly looking after their well-being. A specific relationship begins to form between them, especially between Lars and a married clerk, Bianca (Noomi Rapace), which would later become widely known as the psychological phenomenon called "Stockholm syndrome".
