Stolen Rumours
Legends, stories and myths from Upper Haná. Who doesn't know Bystrouška the fox! What Těsnohlídek did for its fame with written stories among our people, Janáček did for its worldliness with opera. Both creators have situated the action radius of the cunning fox in a "small home" way: the first to the Brno destination of the Bílovec valley, the second to his native Hukvaldy. In short, they both stole it! Who? To the Haná and the Hanáks! For there, in the hills above the meandering Morava, in the grounds of the castles of Bouzov, Mírov and Úsov, in the forests of Mohelnice, in the solitude of the Střítež grove, Bystroška grew up with the reviewer Bartoš. That's where it all happened. Hence the "stolen" rumors. Just as Janáček and Těsnohlídek stole Bystrouška from the Hanáks, so the author of the book decided to steal Shakespeare, Carrots, London or Vančura and in return transfer the plots of well-known stories to the Haná region.
