China, Silicon Valley and the world in the era of AI
The breakthrough in artificial intelligence will bring dramatic changes sooner than many experts anticipated. The driver of development is no longer innovation per se, but rather the size of the market generating the huge volumes of data that technology companies work with. Therefore, two powers are beginning to set the direction - China with its incentive strategies and government programmes and the United States, which is still the technology leader.
In his book, the author appeals to the two superpowers to take responsibility for the changes that humanity will undergo in the near future as their technological power grows. He predicts that the biggest challenge of the future will not be the takeover of human work by artificial intelligence, but the question of what it means to be human.
