Survive this night

It is November 1991. A tape of Nirvana is playing on a tape recorder, George Bush Sr. is sitting in the White House, and college student Charlie Jordan, an avid movie lover, is riding in a car with a man who may be a serial killer. Josh Baxter, the man behind the wheel, is a complete stranger to Charlie. They only met so they could share the expense of a long car trip to Ohio. Both have their reasons for needing to leave the dorm. Charlie is driven by guilt and grief over the shocking murder of her best friend, who has become the third victim of the so-called University Killer. Josh rushes to see his sick father - or so he claims. The longer Charlie sits in the passenger seat, the more she notices that there is something suspicious about Josh and begins to feel like she is in the car with the University Killer. Is Josh really dangerous? Or are Charline's fears just a product of her vivid imagination, having seen too many scary movies? One thing is certain - Charlie has nowhere to go and no way to get help. She's stuck in a cat and mouse game and knows she'll only win if she survives the night.
