Agatha Christie's Swimming Horse
"You don't have to kill your victim. All you have to do is tell her she's going to die."
Why would anyone murder a popular priest? Because he found out more than he should have from the dying Mrs. Davis. However, Father Gorman managed to jot down a few names and hide them in his shoe before sending them to the truth of God. Police Inspector Lejeune and writer Mark Easterbrook try to find out how the people on his list are related and why they are apparently all dead too. Both the writer's friend and colleague Ariadne Oliver and the silly Poppy - another of Easterbrook's charming companions, David - mention a certain Swimming Horse, but in a completely different sense. Soon after, Mark meets three remarkable villagers who seem to possess extraordinary abilities. For example, they can supposedly ensure someone's death from a distance - but is such magic real in a rational world?
Based on the book, the BBC made a two-part miniseries of the same name, which Czech viewers could see for the first time at the beginning of January 2021 on TV Prima.
