Tank Battalion (remastered version) - Blu-ray

The first Czechoslovak privately made film after 1945.
A comedy about life in our army in the early 1950s based on the novel of the same name by Josef Škvorecký.

The main protagonist of mostly humorous episodes from military life in 1953 is the company Danny Smiřický. The young man and his “comrades-in-arms“ are really going through the war “in Czech“. They resist the dullness of the permanently buzzing communist bandits, thinking only of civilians, women and also of drinking. Danny still remembers the inaccessible Lizette while experiencing a love affair with an officer
mistress, Janinka Pinkasová.
