A thriller from an alternate history of a world filled with Tesla's inventions
The year is 1936. The lights of electric cars whiz through the streets of New York City, and the trains of the overhead magnetic railroad whiz high above ground level. Transformers hum on the rooftops and plasma channels supply power to the city.
A young reporter, Jamie Collins, is drawn against his will into an investigation that begins in hotel room 3327, where the world-famous inventor and visionary Nikola Tesla has disappeared. Instead, there are three charred bodies on the floor.
It doesn't take long for Collins to realize that he, too, is in danger. Together with the quirky and emancipated Lilly Kolben, she discovers that the case is more complicated than it first seems. And it could get worse - if Tesla's latest invention is hijacked by a mysterious enemy.
