Escaping to the Lakes #1 A ROMANTIC TALE FROM A LANDSCAPE THAT STIRS THE IMAGINATION AND TEACHES THE HEART TO LOVE AGAIN The first instalment of a romantic series that will transport you to one of the most beautiful places in Great Britain – the Lake District. In a single day, illustrator Autumn must cope with the death of her grandfather and the loss of her dream job in London, where she designed greeting cards. When she goes to Paris for inspiration, she runs into the man who once broke her heart, which stirs up painful memories. The solution is to escape to the Lake District in England, where she wants to sort out her life's priorities and rediscover her lost passion for drawing. In a picturesque village, her path crosses with Dan, whose life also hasn't gone according to plan. This meeting in a place that also influenced the legendary illustrator Beatrix Potter could mean a new beginning for them both… The book The Start of Something Wonderful even caught the attention of the popular author Jules Wake (also known as Julie Caplin), who wrote of it: “A moving novel about true friendship and love, set in the picturesque surroundings of the Lake District.
