The case of the three dead fighters

While rebuilding a hospital in Mistelbach, Austria, workers discovered the grave of an Avar woman in 2018. When the builders started working again, they found three more graves, but this time they were Great Moravian warriors buried with full honors. At that moment, even the Viennese archaeologists, who are examining the finds with the help of their Moravian colleague, have no idea that the strange triple grave dates from the mid-ninth century, when Moravian warriors defeated the army of the East Frankish king Louis near Moravgrad. However, for a complete victory, it was still necessary to expel the Frankish invaders from the Moravian land.
