The Cure: Disintegration

LP Record The Cure's 1989 album, Disintegration, is often cited as the band's masterpiece. Recorded over two years, the album was a deeply personal project for frontman Robert Smith, who was going through a divorce at the time. The result is an emotionally charged collection of songs, ranging from dark and brooding to anthemic and uplifting. Highlights include the singles "Lovesong", "Pictures of You", and "Fascination Street", as well as the epic nine-minute title track. Disintegration is an essential album for any fan of The Cure and remains one of the most influential albums of the 1980s.
