The Earth

A young Parisian rapper reminisces about his childhood, which he spent in the heart of ethnically diverse Africa, surrounded by a group of friends from a better neighbourhood. Young Gabriel drifts carefree through life, until cracks appear in the once-solid relationship between his French father and his Rwandan mother. The world beyond the borders of his “small country” also begins to change. News of the civil war in neighbouring Rwanda at first sounds like an echo from another world, but that soon changes. And then history arrives. And it forces innocent Gaby to realise who he really is and where he belongs.
