The gallows are waiting

Federal Marshal Burt 'Black' Shaffer is incognito, hunting down Woods's gang. Its leader brutally murdered his family and other innocent ranchers. However, due to his dark appearance, he himself is mistaken for a gunslinger—even by the niece of the last murdered family. She later accompanies him to a gunslinger settlement where she grew up. In the end, they stand alone against the overwhelming numbers of Woods's gang, now joined by fugitives from Pipecreek, guided only by luck and a desire for justice.
