The glassmaker from Venice
The story of a woman who dared to create, even when the world forbade her.
Murano, 1486. In the glow of the glass furnaces, young Orsola Rosso secretly watches the work of the famous Marietta Barovier, who creates beads that will change the world. Orsola instantly falls in love with them – and with the forbidden craft itself.
When her father unexpectedly dies, she must support the family workshop and fight for the survival of the Rosso name. First in secret, then publicly, with relentless passion, she searches for her place in the glassmaking trade. Her beads become a symbol of desire and proof of female strength at a time when women were not given the space to create.
