The annual costume party at Mydworth Manor is the highlight of the season, where local residents mingle with the London elite. However, this extravagant celebration comes to an abrupt end when one of the guests is found dead near the garden pond. Everything suggests the man had a heart attack, but Sir Harry Mortimer and his wife Kat have their suspicions. It's quite possible that the dead man in the mask was actually the victim of a calculated murder. And the killer's work for the evening is not yet over...
