The Last Race - Blu-ray

The Last Race - Blu-ray
The True Story of Hanč, Vrbata and Rath
Before the First World War, the Krkonoše was a poor region where the Czech and German elements clashed. Bohumil Hanč was the most famous Czech skier of his time, winning races at home and abroad. The all-round athlete Emerich Rath was the only German to participate in the Czech races, the other Germans from the Giant Mountains boycotted them for national reasons.
Therefore, Hanč and Rath knew each other well and met at the start of the important race in March 1913. After the first round, the weather on the ridges deteriorated sharply, a snowstorm broke out and everyone gradually gave up. Hanč remained alone on the track, but the race for first place turned into a race for his life. Vrbata stands on the track as the only spectator, Rath goes to help Hanč and all three begin to write a story of heroism, courage, will and friendship in the inhuman cold and impenetrable storm.
