The Painted Bird (2 discs) - Blu-ray

In an effort to save their child from the mass extermination of the Jews, his parents send their son to a relative in the countryside somewhere in Eastern Europe. However, the boy's aunt unexpectedly dies, and the child is forced to set out on a journey, struggling to get by all alone in a savage and hostile world where only local rules, prejudices, and superstitions apply.
But his struggle for literal physical survival is replaced by another battle after the war. A battle he is not even aware of, a battle with himself, a battle for his soul, for his future.

The film is based on the worldwide bestselling novel by Jerzy Kosiński.
