The Second Mandel of Sonnets

Milona Čepelka's second Mandel of Sonnets is two and a bit years younger brother of his (first) Mandel of Sonnets. And as it is the case with (provisional) Benjamins, he is perhaps a bit more daring and dissolute - as if he relies on the firm hand (sorry, firm verse) of the firstborn. At least that's how it appears at first glance. On the latter, however, you will discover other tones and moods, including the darker ones, of which even the most outwardly rounded laugh is not free. It is to the author's credit that he does not slip into the nowadays so modern sleepiness and into a diluted negation without measure. A wise man once said that even dissonance has an idea - it is the idea of redemption in consonance. I stress: Redemption, not redemption! If the composer literally bathed in consonance and chose only a libo sound, he would resemble a musical savant who had not grown beyond the key of C major, a key of black keys. Here, however, we have nothing to worry about. Miloň Čepelka is a man too mature, experienced and talented not to be able to masterfully alternate black and white in his compositions, which always end with a redeemed chord. Be a gourmet of this mandel of poetic delicacies and seek your favourite flavours ad libitum. And remember: Everyone is as old as they get. This is communicated by a poet and a man who can ignite not only himself, but also our imagination and the best that is in us.
