The Story of Thyme

When Anna's marriage begins to fall apart, she moves with her three-year-old son to her mother's house. While exploring her ancestors' cottage, she finds a bag of thyme. It transports her to the events of the first half of the twentieth century, the tense relations between Czechs and Poles, and a great love that faced many obstacles. As Anna learns about her own family's fate and the history of the Jablunkov region, the story of her great-grandmother, Věra, unfolds, revealing the local conditions and progressive ideas that her neighbours could not comprehend in those difficult times.
