The Velvet Underground: Loaded

LP Record Following the three previous studio albums, "The Velvet Underground and Nico", "White Light/White Heat", and "The Velvet Underground", the 1971 album "Loaded" marked the end for The Velvets, although it was followed (justifiably) unnoticed by the album "Squeeze". In an effort to achieve greater commercial success, The Velvets switched to the Atlantic sub-label "Cotillion" and played perfect Stones-esque rock-pop that barely resembled the devilish original from their early days. It features the classics "Sweet Jane" and "Rock and Roll", as well as melodic songs like "Who Loves The Sun", "New Age", and "I Found A Reason". Some fans think that "Loaded" cannot compare to the previous albums, but many fans see it differently.
