Theory of probability

The text is used as a basis for the lecture Theory of Probability, which is taught at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. The textbook contains the material covered in the lecture plus a chapter summarizing various ways of characterizing the distribution of a random variable and a chapter recalling some classical probability distributions. A brief overview of the mathematical apparatus used in the lecture and examples are also included.
