Think with the heart

When Jitka is diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease, she deals with it in an unorthodox way. Instead of listening to doctors, she follows her heart, which urges her to end her long-term relationship, leave home and travel to Latin America alone to heal with the help of ancient local medicine.

Her story is about two journeys. An adventurous journey that takes her through the Amazon rainforest, mountains, desert and coast across the entire Latin American continent. And then there is another, no less adventurous, journey into her inner self and beyond the boundaries of ordinary consciousness, a journey she takes with the help of the psychedelic plant medicines Ayahuasca and San Pedro. This unusual but captivating travelogue tells a story of trust, determination, and the effort to understand illness and, through it, oneself.

Jitka Juliet Navrátilová has lived in London since she was young, where she works as a professional guide. Her greatest passion is travelling. For half of her life, she has also been involved in personal development techniques, female spirituality and shamanism. All of this comes together in her debut, To Think With The Heart.
