Tiché Cukrárny (The Silent Cafe) Needs Equipment

thank you to everyone who supported the Tichá Cukrárna and contributed to the purchase of two new stainless steel tables. Thanks to you, the sweet shop now has the professional equipment and better working environment it needs to continue baking and preparing the best homemade goodies.

Tichá Cukrárna is a place where deaf people create confectionery art and send it out into the world, for example, to the nearby Tichá Kavárna or to social events and banquets. Only deaf people are employed here as confectioners, and they don't need to have any experience in making cakes, desserts, or quiches. They will learn everything at the sweet shop and will be able to fully develop their creativity and try out new recipes or various decorations. And all this in a friendly community of people who communicate in Czech Sign Language.

We support people with disabilities in the areas of employment and education, and we create the conditions for their social, health, and work integration into society. We implement programmes and projects focused on employment, further education and raising awareness, and on promoting equal access to information and services. We advocate for the rights and interests of disadvantaged people, and we develop and support individual responsibility.
