After another wild party, rich kid and playboy Lenny parks his car right next to the garage – at the bottom of a full swimming pool. And his dad has had enough. No more slacking, no more spending, no more being a complete good-for-nothing.
Lenny must start looking after David, a fifteen-year-old with a severe heart condition who, according to his doctors, only has a few months to live. David lives in a sanatorium and hasn't really experienced much besides operations. In a single moment, two completely different worlds collide: a world of clubs, parties, alcohol, and beautiful girls, and a world of hospitals, medicine, and operating theatres. Lenny, however, doesn't worry much about that second world and starts caring for David the only way he knows how.
"You're a carefree, ignorant egomaniac. That's ideal for a seriously ill boy," a beautiful doctor tells him. He decides they'll get through it together and that David must enjoy himself while he still can. Stealing a car, going to a strip club, hitting a nightclub, or just buying silly things. And then David wishes he could fall in love with a girl. That's a tough one, but their unexpected friendship is already so strong that they start working on that too. When you become real mates with someone, it comes with a commitment – We'll get through this together. And to the fullest, as if there's no tomorrow, which, after all, could very well be true.
