Tolkien - DVD

What were the fortunes of J. R. R. Tolkien (Nicholas Hoult) long before he became a famous writer and immersed himself completely in Middle-earth?
As a teenager, surrounded by his schoolmates, Tolkien discovers the power of friendship, courage and determination. Their shared bond grows stronger over time, but the First World War threatens to tear their fellowship apart. It is precisely these experiences that later became Tolkien's inspiration for writing his famous novels set in Middle-earth.
