Truth in flames

The year is 1648.

A fire in the lavish house of the noble Vodňanský family does not bode well. When forensic investigator Borek Rybář arrives at the crash site, he finds only charred bodies. Why didn't the residents escape the fire?

With the help of the Old Town executioner Hanuš Mydlář, Borek soon discovers that they have been cruelly murdered. There are more than enough reasons to take revenge on the family of a respected landowner, for the man was a notorious seducer and made many enemies. Was it a jealousy killing, or was the motive completely different?
