Ubrova Dasa: Dasa Ubrova - CD

The eponymous album of the Brno singer Dáša Ubrová brings to the domestic music scene a combination of chanson, jazz, blues, Latin-American music and rock in its distinctive form. The singer does not rely on professional lyricists, but on her own authorial ability to best express her feelings and impressions, which she sensitively inserts into the sung message. The listener will be interested in pure intonation, clear pronunciation and an interesting feeling, which is essential for expressing one' s own impressions, but also for expression. So if you want to create a pleasant, slightly melancholic atmosphere while listening, you have chosen not only a well-designed project, but also a season when, in the autumn pastel colours of nature, this location clearly and internally clearly expresses the soul of this music. The accompaniment consists of a group of young talented musicians, led by composer and arranger Vojtěch Svatoš and guitarist Pavel Šmíd, who were able to interestingly combine captivating lyrics with multi-genre music. Dáša Ubrová retains her strong enough musical terrain, however, here and there in indirect connotations we hear the slight vibrations of Zuzana Navarová, without Dáša Ubrová trying to follow her legacy or offer her as an unquestionable role model. Above all, it' s music that is moving away from mainstream pop, which is flooded with commercial radio. It is music intended for a more sensitive and receptive listener who is looking for an intimate experience in music. Dáša Ubrová has enough of her own incorruptible taste and it can be said that she does not belong to the category of those performers who would be seduced by a lucrative offer into a commercial musical marathon. On the other hand, she is not a clear representative of any musical avant-garde or alternative. He makes his music honest, interested, naturally without any ambition to stun and dazzle, and can be recommended to listen to.
