Ursiny Dežo: Pevnina detstva - CD

Due to the unceasing interest of fans, Opus has decided to re-release and catalogue the most important albums of Dez Ursiny. The first is The Fortress of Childhood, originally published in 1978. It is a typical Ursiny production, with challenging larger-scale musical compositions and unique lyrics by Dež's writing partner Ivan Štrpka, with the opening miniature Vtáci (Birds) lyrics by Dušan Mitana. The basic sound of Ursiny's backing band with Jaro Filip, Anton Jaro and Cyril Zeleňák is enriched by guest brass players Dušan. Huščava and Juraj Lehotský, as well as a string orchestra led by Milan Tedl. For fans of Dez Ursiny, as well as for all lovers of quality and distinctive rock music, this is a real treat.

Dezo Ursiny (vocals), Cyril Zeleňák (drums, percussion), Jaroslav Filip (piano, Fender piano, harpsichord), Anton Jaro (bass guitar), Dušan Húščava (soprano and tenor saxophone, flute), Juraj Lehotsky (trumpet), Milan Tedla (string section)
